surely, a glass of sangria won’t change your life, but it’s a good way to start a year, isn’t it?
part i: sangria #
this quite easy to do, basically here is what I have
- an orange
- an apple
- a bottle of red wine (I use spanish tempranillo, but whatever red wine is okay)
- a cup of spirit (should use brandy according to the recipe, but I couldn’t find one in my local store, so I use marker mark whiskey)
- orange juice (vinamilk)
- brown sugar
- a lemon (from a yellow lemon tree)
that’s it, and then you follow some bla bla steps, cut this, slice that … quite easy, (but remember don’t put too much spirit in), and voila, you gonna get this:

Just a perfect day, drink Sangria in the park
And then later, when it gets dark, we go home
Just a perfect day, feed animals in the zoo
Then later, a movie too and then home
(Lou Reed)
well, I don’t drink my sangria in the park, I drink from my balcony, but it’s still perfect for a day.
I don’t listen to Lou Reed either (anymore), I listen to AC/DC
part ii: 2025 #
2025 come and go like a blink of eyes
it seems like I made next to zero achievement this year, and that’s okay to me though.
went to some new places, met some old friends, worked like a dog, run, lift, then enjoyed life a little bit, tried something new …
that a bit of a summary.
one lesson that I have learn this year is that I shouldn’t be affaid to let thing go, and start over, for a better, it’s never too late to do something I feel right. but let the old thing go, that’s the hard part.
there’re ugly things that I did in 2025 too,
like paid attention too much to the news, to the things that I can’t control, scroll social media,.. all that caused me mental overloads,
and now I’m still processing to discharge
part iii: 2026 #
what i’m gonna do in 2026? hmm, what people do when they’re into their 30s? I don’t know
one thing that I hope in 2026, is having the energy to stare into my abyss, look at all my foolishness by their shitface, and say “I will rock you now”
~
have a nice year!
Jere,
