In this series, I will share some random shits that neither have special purpose nor meaning, they’re like those posts in the /wall with extra steps. Be warned, you may find it like a spaghetti post and hard to read.
1. a piece from my vague memory
there was a japanese TV series on broadcasted on VTV back in the day called ‘Mùa tuyết tan’ (original 北の国から). that show gave me a strong and strange but good feeling. The story is all about life of a family (a father, a son and a daughter) in northern of Japan. Interestingly, the show is active for 21 years but the entire production team (writer, director and cast, …) had not changed. I always remember to this show whenever someone mentioned Hokkaido.

I’m thinking about giving cool linux setup stuff like vim/neovim, or tiling software like hyprland a try, every kool kid out there has their own kool linux setup, but the config process kinda hesitated me 😑

8. song of the week
20 years ago, Greenday has released the album ‘American Idiot’. Although I don’t like the band’s political criticism, I love this album, its catchy melodies that bring powerful raw energy blends with bold, story-like, beautiful lyrics has given me stream of joy when listen to.
Recently, I has discovered a version recorded by Broadway Company for this album, I even like it more than the original version :D
Some of my favorite excerpt from the lyrics.
Jesus of Suburbia:
Dearly beloved, are you listening?
I can’t remember a word that you were saying…
Are we demented or am I disturbed?
The space that’s in between insane and insecure
…
Oh therapy, can you please fill the void?
Am I retarded, or am I just overjoyed?
Nobody’s perfect, and I stand accused
For lack of a better word, and that’s my best excuse
Give me novacaine:
Take away the sensation inside
Bittersweet migraine in my head
It’s like a throbbing toothache of the mind
I can’t take this feeling anymore
Letterbomb:
Nobody likes you
Everyone left you
They’re all out without you
Having fun
Homecomming:
What the hell’s your name?
What’s your pleasure, what is your pain?
Do you dream too much?
Do you think what you need is a crutch?
…
Jimmy died today
He blew his brains out into the bay
In the state of mind
It’s my own private suicide
Well, nobody cares
…
Wake me up when september ends:
Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are
~ Peace ~
