Part 1: Banana Cake
Even though nearly a month of 2022 has passed, today I really have time to look back on 2021. And while thinking about it, I have the mood to make a cake to celebrate myself a little bit.
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas
- 500g all-purpose flour
- 1,5 teaspoons of baking soda
- 0.5 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 0.5 teaspoon of salt
- 200g unsalted butter (I used the TH-Truemilk one)
- 200g sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 pipes of vanilla
- 400ml of buttermilk (fresh milk + lemon)
Cream cheese (for topping)
- 200g of cheese (phô mai con bò cười)
- 100g of unsalted butter (bơ lạt TH true milk)
Instructions:
I followed this Youtube video, baking using a airfryer
Some photos:
Result: OMG, it’s so fucking good, fragrant, palatable. I wish you have it
Note: I’m not a fan of cooking, this is the first time I made a ‘real’ cake.
Part 2: A gentle flashback to 2021
let put the cake and all the covid shitshow as well aside, 2021 for me is also is a year of losing, confusion, insecurity. but there is also love and new experience.
working, love, travel trip, spent time alone (because of the lockdown)
Things I have learned in 2021
Best new life hack: making a google sheet to summarize and organize my daily tasks more effectively
Best new experience: start this blog
Best new skill: play some musical thing
Best/Worst Purchase of the year: best: Dell 2520D monitor; worst: laptop cleaner kit on Shopee
Best/Worse Investment: best: none; worst: crypto :’)
Best Personal Win/Accomplishment: none :’)
That is a new idea: I’m having an idea about making a dashboard to update all of my social media/forums/emails, so I can no longer have to lose my mind on those time-consuming sites anymore while still up to date with mostly anything that matter.
Part 3: A positive looking toward to 2022
The ironic thing is that this year I’m still struggling with goals I have been set for like 3-4 years ago, except I’m older. How crazy is that? Anyway, hopefully, I can finish them up this year, I desperately need to move on in life.
so 2022:
break bad habits
read more
write more
talk more
sleep more
practice more, get stronger
proactive, hustle more
put some muscle
resentful less
procrastination less
My word theme for this year is ‘break’, which means I will try to reach the breaking point of the loop I’ve been stuck in, then execute the next block of code.
